In Memory of J. Dan
DEAR EDITOR:
I vh to express my best
wishes to everyone in
Hogansville for a safe and
happy new year. Please
remind everyone that life is
short and that we may not be
granted tomorrow, let alone
another year. Each day is a
blessing from God and we
should count itas so. Ilearned
this the hard way recently
with the sudden passing of
someone so dear to me and
Hogansville... J. Dan Stout,
Sr.
If he taught me anything
it was to not plan for tomor-
row but instead to make the
most out of what you have
today. He was full of life and
laughter. I like many others
will miss him the rest of this
year and for many years to
come. Please print this poem
dedicated to Mr. J. Dan Stout,
Sr., that I wrote in his mem-
ory.
If Tomorrow Never
Comes
Twas the twelfth day of
December
A day I will always
pary in
remember r for a
A day I lost someone SRobie
dear ritage
Not only to here (:::
me but L
many people
Hogansville)
What this had taught
is that we must not fear
But learn to hold those
love oh so near
For life is short
count each day as a
Sent from God from
to year.
Oncething:
We need to always
with our ears
To the words of
Father who tells us
Have no fear,
another tear
For I am here!
J. Dan rest in peace
thou art in a better:
one thing, though, you g'ot
stop telling all those GO
jokes!
