The Stars were the guests of the Miami Canes, the 1999 Triple Crown national champi- ons. The Stars played three games on Saturday They lost to Ltino American 3 1; defeat- ed a Cuban team, Palmer de Junco, 5-3 and tied the Canes' winter team, Pasquel Academy 6-6. Casey Kiker pitched the first game against Latino American, striking out seven, walking one and allowing two hits. Corey Rasmus had the only home run for the Stars. Ben Revere had a single and a double. William Gordon and Andrew Manning each pitched three innings against Palmer de Junco. Gordon drove in three runs with a single and a sacrifice. In the tie game. Corey Johnson struck out ten and walked four. Rasmus had a double, triple and a sacrifice for the Stars. Sunday the Canes downed the Stars 5-2.
