The honoree received beautiful gifts. By Frances Robinson NEW- Curtis Eugene Prophett, Jr. made his debut February 3rd at the Lanier Health Center in Alabama. C.E., Jr. weighed 8 Ibs., 6 ounces. His proud parents are Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Prophett of Hogansville. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Richardson. Paternal grandmother is Mrs, Bonnie Prophett. ACTIVE- The Social Critters of Antioch Baptist Church held their regular monthly meeting Thursday night at 7 p.m. at the Dolly Building with 21 members present. At the January meeting new officers were elected for the coming year. These officers are pictured, not in order, Dr. Joe Almond, president; Fannie Mae Cannon, vice president; Jimmie Nell Robinson, secretary/treasurer; Sandra Lee, program coordinator; J.C. Daniels, chaplain; Frances Robinson, publicity chair- man: Dan Williams, Doris Almand and Mildred Robinson, entertainment committee; Jamie Dorrough, honorary mascot. After a delicious meal and devotion the group enjoyed numerous games.On March 29 the group plans a picnic and kite flying contest at Ken Gordon's on Lone Oak Road. By Frances Robinson HAPPY EVENT- Mrs. Skeet Ellington honored Mrs. Deidre Jones of Atlanta Sunday, March 9th with a stork shower. She is the grand- daughter of Mrs. Jimrnie Nell Robinson. The mother to be received many beautiful and useful gifts. The guests enjoyed games and delicious refreshments. GENEROUS- Goody Products Inc., a division of NewellRubbermaid, donated 20 baby car seats to Georgia Baptist Meriwether Hospital on Friday, February 21,2003. A car seat will be provided to each expecting mother who completes a three part educational training in prenatal care, infant CPR, and how to install the car seat correctly. Dr. George Stefenelli, OB/GYN, created the educational program to prepare the expecting mother for their delivery and the care of the infant after their delivery. To join the training pro- gram, please contact Dr. Stefenelli at 655-9280.
