with our fighting men and
women. In my personal opin-
ion, you are either with
America or you are against
America; this is not the time
for fence riders.
If these folks think the
USA is so terrible, then why
don't they move to Iraq and
live. Just as much as they
have the freedom to •cause
our troops discouragement,
they have the same freedom
to pack their bags and leave.
No, I am not a warmon-
ger, nor do I enjoy the fact
that war is being waged, but
it is a necessary fact of life
and we must do our part here
at home while others do their
part around the world. If one
would even casually read
their Bible, you will find
where God uses foreign
nations to bring judgment
upon other nations.
You could just about say
that God used war as almost
a set of checks and balances.
No, God does not delight in
the loss of life. In fact, God
provided a way that mankind
could live eternally with him
in heaven. Man has chosen to
rebel, man has chosen his life,
and that choice has conse-
quences, just like Saddam
had a choice and now as a
result he is reaping what he
has sown.
Please understand that
the God claimed by Saddam
is not the God we serve. In
fact, the god of Saddam is the
false god Allah.
There is but one God and
one way to eternal life and
heaven. Please consider with
me two verses of scripture:
Isaiah 45:6 says, "That they
may know from the rising of
the sun, and from the west,
that there is none beside me.
I am the Lord, and there is
none else." John 14:6 says,
"Jesus saith unto him, I am
the way, the truth, and the
life: no man cometh unto the
Father, but by me."
These two verses share
the truth of one God and one
way to heaven. Many may be
asking, why is Jesus the only
way to heaven? Why do I have
to accept that truth by faith?
Because Jesus is the only one
who died for our sin,. [he only
one who was burred for our
sin, and the only one who was
resurrected for our salva-
tion. The gospel of Jesus
Christ and repentance and
faith toward him is man's
only hope of eternal life.
THERE MAY BE some
thinking you are wrong.
Okay, say I am wrong, what
have I to lose? But if you are
wrong, what have you to lose?
The same principle holds
true here as before. We are
either on God's side, or we
are not. The Bible plainly
bears this out. Matthew 12:30
says, "He that is not with me
is against me; and he that
gathereth not with me scat-
tereth abroad."
Just as there is no room
for fence ridders in America,
there is no room for fence
riders in the church of the
living God. Stand up and be
counted as Americans and
stand up and be counted as
Christians. There are already
too many who are straddling
the fence.
