Mrs. Lillian Ragan Arnold
May 14, 1926 - April 15, 2003
Mrs. Lillian Ragan Arnold, 76, of Manchester, died April
lSth at Georgia Baptist Meriwether Hospital. Graveside serv-
ices were held April 17th at Meriwether Memory Gardens
With Bro. Ed White officiating. Pallbearers were her grand-
sOils.
Mrs. Arnold was born May 14, 1926 in Spalding County,
of Frank and Roxie Jordan Ragan. She had worked
Playtex Corp. and was a member of Thomaston Church of

Ferrell T. McCann
March 21, 1916 - April 19, 2003
Ferrell T. McCann, 87, of the Lone Oak Community of
died April 19th at Twin Fountains Home
LaGrange. The funeral service was conducted April 21st

in Hogansville. The Reverend Robert Longshore offi-

Mr. McCann was born March 21,1916 in Chambers County,
son of the late Berry and Stella Wright McCann.
,resident of Lone Oak since 1975, he was a retired textile
and also a retired security guard.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas
Betty Jo McCann of LaGrange; one brother, Olin M.
of Florida; four grandsons, Tommy McCann, Terry
Timmy McCann, and Tony McCann, all of LaGrange;
five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he
preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Annie Calhoun
and a son, Charlie McCann.

Mrs. Faye Whitley
January 22, 1931 - April 14, 2003
Mrs. Faye Richardson Whitley, 72, of Princeton, Alabama,
April 14th at her home. The funeral service was con-
in the Chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and
Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Lari'y
officiated and interment was in Myrtle Hill Cemetery
Pallbearers were Ken McCord, Buddy Whitley, Greg
Richardson, Dale Todd, Kelly Fisockerly, and Gary Joffe.
Born January 22, 1931 in Hogansville, Mrs. Whitley was
the daughter of the late Dove and Mattie Oliver Richardson.
She was a graduate of Indian River Community College and
St. Leo's College and was a retired public health nurse. A for-
mer resident of Cedartown and Rockmart, she lived in
Princeton for two years and attended Princeton United
Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas G. Whitley of
Princeton; one daughter and son-in-law, Alana and Dwight
Todd of Hogansville; two sons, Thomas Whitley, Jr. and his
wife, Tracy of Memphis, Tenn., and Drew Whitley of
Chattanooga, Tenn.; one stepdaughter, Sandra Williams of
Jacksonville, Fla.; one stepson, Buddy Whitley and his wife,
Linda of LaGrange; two grandchildren, Beth Todd and Dale
and Jessica Todd; one great-grandchild, Autumn Todd; and
four step-grandchildren, Whit Abel, Haley Abel, Tyson
Whitley, and Leslie Battle. She was preceded in death by a
son, Richard Dale Hackney.

Hogansville was in charge of arrangements.
Roy L. Murrell
April 13, 1922 - April 20, 2003
Roy L. Murrell, 81, of Hogansville, died April 20tti at West
Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange. The funeral service
was conducted April 22 at Louise Baptist Church in Troup
County. The Reverend Orman Harcrow and Dr. Ralph Taylor
officiated and entombment was in Shadowlawn Mausoleum
in LaGrange.
Born April 13, 1922 in Walton County, Mr. Murrell was
the son of the late Fred and Nellie Passmore Murrell. He was
an Army veteran of World War II, had lived in Troup County
since 1952, and was retired from the golf course maintenance
department of Highland Country Club in LaGrange. An
ordained Baptist minister, he was a deacon of Louise Baptist
Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Grace Phillips Murrell
of Hogansville; one daughter and son-in-law, Sue and James
Esposito of LaGrange; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dwight
and Amy Murrell of Hogansville and Phillip and Donna
Murrell of Hampstead, N.H.; one sister, Mrs. Lois Fuller of
Conyers; three brothers, Troy Murrell of Campton, Claude
Murrell of Conyers, and Cleo Murrell of Covington; five
grandchildren, Brandy Browning and Christopher Murrell,
both of Hogansville, Joey Esposito of LaGrange, and Mallory
Murrell and Matt Murrell, both of Hampstead, N.H.; and
three great-grandchildren, Christy Fincher, Aaron Fincher
and Kyleigh Murrell. In addition to his parents, he was pre-
ceded in death by five sisters and one brother.

Mrs. Evelyn McCullough
January 30, 1931 - April 15, 2003
Mrs. Evelyn Garrett McCullough, 72, of Sharpsburg, died
April 15th at her home. The funeral service was conducted
April 17th in the Chapel of*the Claude A. McKibben and Sons
Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Harry Parkerson
officiated and interment was in the Sharpsburg Baptist
Church Cemetery.
Mrs. McCullough was born January 30, 1931 in LaGrange,
daughter of the late Grady and Percy Cooper Garrett. A
retired seamstress, she lived in Sharpsburg most of her life,
was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, and was the wife
of the late Melvin McCullough, Jr.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Jean and
John Harrison of Sharpsburg; three granddaughters, Teresa
Eason of Sharpsburg, Tammy Pierce of Palmetto, and Tara
Callaway of Newnan; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-
great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Darlene Parmer
July 21, 1949 - April 15, 2003
Mrs. Darlene Threlke!d Parmer, 53, of Cedartown, died
April 15th at her home. The funeral service was conducted
April 17 at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in
Hogansville. The Reverend Wesley Boatman officiated.
Mrs. Parmer was born July 21, 1949 in Hogansville, daugh-
ter of theqate Clarence and Lavesker Faulkner Threlkeld. A
homemaker, she had lived in Cedartown since 1985.
Survivors. include her husband, Benny C. Parmer of
Cedartown; one daughter, Melisa R. Marcos of Rome; one
sister, Dianne Canup of Cartersville; and four grandchildren,
Christopher David Camacho, Catherine Denise Camacho,
Jonathan Daniel Marcos and Darlene Lavesker Marcos.
