Revival Starts at Bethel May 1 Bethel Chapel Baptist Church in LaGrange will be having a revival beginning on Wednesday, May 1 and going through Friday, May 3. The guest evangelist will be Rev. Roger Watkins from Geraldine, Ala. Watkins pastored the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Cataula, Georgia for 10 years before returning to Sand Mountain, his home. He owns WBSA Gospel Radio Station in Boaz, Ala. and pastors in Geraldine. Services Will begin at 7 p.m. each night with special singing nightly. Everyone is welcomed. Bryan Geter is the pastor. The Church is located at 210 Handley Street, which is off of the Whitesville Road. Mt. Perria Holds Appreciation Service The Mt. Perria Baptist Church, Mobley Bridge Road, HogansviUe, observed the installation and appreci- ation service for Rev. and Mrs. C.A. Black on Sunday, April 7 at the 11:30 a.m. aer- vice with Rev. Gospel Benefit To Fund Burial There will be a benefit gospel singing on April 26 at the Gospel Sounds (old Moose Lodge) on Hwy 29 in Newnan. Members of Carmel United Methodist Church and Mt. Zion Baptist Church will both hold fundraisers during the day. Members from Carmel will hold at yard sale at the church, on the corner of Highway 362 and Mr. Carmel Road, starting at 8 a.m. The sale will feature womeffs clothes, children's clothes and lots of miscellaneous items. The members of Mt. Zion will continue a tradition of sev- eral yearsby holding The Country Church, their biannual fundraiser, on thelot next tothe Alvaton Car Wash on Highway 85.
