/ 3 - On May 9th, the Hogansville Senior Center hosted their 11th Senior Golden at Elementary School gym. There were 100-125 seniors from Troup The ages of these seniors ranged from 55-92. This was a fun day who attended. The first place winners are as follows: Clock Golf, Bea Littlefield, Katie Nellie Cox, Rufus Keith, Wendell Waggoner, Tommy Thrower; Dominoes, Dorothy Catdwell, Jackson; Checkers, Henry Nelioms; Frisbee Toss, Bea Littlefield, Phis Morris, Ann Bard, House, William Martin, John Callaway, Tommy Thrower; Basketball, Bea IAttlefield, Frances Elmer Williams; Softball Throw, Brenda Rigsby, Bea Littlefield, Phlis Morris, Lilian Leroy Rigsby, Elmer Williams, James Gay; Horseshoe Throw, Leroy Rigsby, Elmer Thomas Kee, Elsie Thaxton. Lillian Howell called the meeting to order while Mavis Phillips opened with prayer. Helen Stephens and Lillian Howell read the minutes and gave the treasurer's report, respectively. Patti Phillips presented the program about Barbara Massey - shaping our future. She read from Matthew 22:35- 38, gave the prayer focus that was Safwa before reading the names/places of service of mis- sionaries having a birthday on that date. The meeting was closed with prayer by Helen Stephens. HOSTESSES for the May meeting were Patti Phillips (pro- gram) and Mary Kathryn Gillespie (refreshments). The ongoing WMU project is Circle M(00ets to bring needed items for the Olympic bags (Kleenex, chap sticks, lotion, sunscreen, Band- Aids and breath mints). THE OLYMPICS will be in Salt Lake City, Utah February 8- 24. The International Mission: Board (IMB) will also place gospel tract in each of these bag.  before distribution.
