Screaming with joy, my daughter
leaped into the cool inviting water.
I sat at the edge wrapped in a towel
wanting so badly to run screaming and
jumping with her Instead I just sat
thee..watching. Why didn't I jump in?
Scared. untrusting that the water
below wouldn't give me up to the air
above, unsure the flotation device
would work. My daughter yelled over her shoulder,
"Morn, watch. I pop right back up." I was reminded of
another time her faith had made me take another look
at myself. We both had prayed air night that I would get a
job the next day, but when the next day arrived, I was too
scared to go to the interview. My daughter simply said,
"Morn, I don't think we can move mountains with that
kind of faith. If you keep thinking like that, we shouldn't
even bother getting out of bed." I got the job that day...
and today I will swim with my daughter.
