VIC CYRIL WARREN IV received the Outstanding Master's degree in Business Administration Award at the recent I.aGrange College Honors Day program. ALEX KEITH IIARRIS received the A.M. Hicks Organic Chemistry Award at the Honors Day program. He is the son of Randy and Peggy ttarris. DEATH S AND FUNERAL S Roland E White September 2, 1912 - June 13, 2000 West Columbia, S.C. - Roland E. White, 87, of West Columbia, South Carolina, formerly of Hogansville, died June 13 at his home. The funeral service was conducted June 17 at Antioch Baptist Church in Hogansvflle. The Rex,. Wesley Boatman officiated and interment was in Myrtle Hill Cemetery with Masonic gravcside rites. Pallbearers were Roger White, Chris Stone, David Stone, Danny Stone, Ken White, and Michael White. Mr. White was born September 2, 1912 in Cleburne County, Alabama, son of the late Littleton Greenberry M. White and the late Mary Elizabeth Knowles White. He lived in Hogansville from 1944 until making his home in West Columbia in 1995, and was retired from Uniroyal, Inc. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Chm-ch in Hogansville and was a member of the Hogansville Masonic Lodge and the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lavis Stone of West Columbia and Mrs. Reba Young of Somerset, Wisconsin; two sons, Dalton White of West Columbia and the Rev. Ed White of Warm Springs; three brothers, John White of Hogansville, Walter (Mutt) White of Ranburne, Alabama, and Billy White of Carrollton; eight grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren. The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville was in charge of arrangements. Thomas E. Eason April 20, 1931 - June 14, 2000 LaGrange - Thomas E. Eason, 69, of LaGrange, died June 14 at his home. The funeral service was conducted June 16 m the Chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. The Reverend Jimmy McMillian, the Reverend J.C. McMillian, and the Reverend Charles Chapman officiated and interment was in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Victor Kline, Vic Kline, James Arnold, Jr., Chris Rippy, Jamie Eason, Jeff Kent, Chuck Capes, and Jimmy Eason. Mr. Eason was born April 20, 1931 in Coweta County, son of the late Carl Monroe EasGn and the late Sallie Strickland Eason. He was an Army veteran of tile l<.l Caa War, had County for the past 30 years, and was., menlber of the Ba faith. He retired from the qYoup County Correctional Survivors include his wife, ,ll:s. Minister Michael Millarc Phillip Satterfield, Minister Mansel Carpenter, and Ronnie Nations officiated and inte;inent was in Cemetery in Moreland. Pallbearm s were Michael Boswell Boswell, Bobby Lowry, John Lowry, Wesley Mask, Jr. John Brad Smith, and Jack Crews, Jr. Honorary [ Bradley, David Bradle Claud Itarris, Ricky Powers, Stewart. Mr. Wood was born November 25, 1938 in Memphis, He lived in Kennesaw before making his home in Franklin in and was retired from Bell South. He was an Army was a member of the Hogansx;ille Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Alice Boswell Wood Franklin; two daughters, Mrs. Chris Coker of Canton and Julie Cosper of Franklin; one son, Brian Wood of Newnan; mother, Mrs. Mary Louise Wood of Memphis; one sister, Mrs. Wall of Olive Branch, Mississippi; his mother-inqaw, Mrs. Ruth Boswell of Franklin; and nine grandchildren.
