DEATH S AND FUNERAL S
Roland E• White
September 2, 1912 - June 13, 2000
West Columbia, S.C. - Roland E. White, 87, of West Columbia,
South Carolina, formerly of Hogansville, died June 13 at his home.
The funeral service was conducted June 17 at Antioch Baptist
Church in Hogansvflle. The Rex,. Wesley Boatman officiated and
interment was in Myrtle Hill Cemetery with Masonic gravcside
rites. Pallbearers were Roger White, Chris Stone, David Stone,
Danny Stone, Ken White, and Michael White.
Mr. White was born September 2, 1912 in Cleburne County,
Alabama, son of the late Littleton Greenberry M. White and the
late Mary Elizabeth Knowles White. He lived in Hogansville from
1944 until making his home in West Columbia in 1995, and was
retired from Uniroyal, Inc. He was a member of Antioch Baptist
Chm-ch in Hogansville and was a member of the Hogansville
Masonic Lodge and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lavis Stone of West
Columbia and Mrs. Reba Young of Somerset, Wisconsin; two sons,
Dalton White of West Columbia and the Rev. Ed White of Warm
Springs; three brothers, John White of Hogansville, Walter (Mutt)
White of Ranburne, Alabama, and Billy White of Carrollton; eight
grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of
Hogansville was in charge of arrangements.
Thomas E. Eason
April 20, 1931 - June 14, 2000
LaGrange - Thomas E. Eason, 69, of LaGrange, died June 14
at his home. The funeral service was conducted June 16 m the
Chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. The
Reverend Jimmy McMillian, the Reverend J.C. McMillian, and
the Reverend Charles Chapman officiated and interment was in
Myrtle Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Victor Kline, Vic Kline,
James Arnold, Jr., Chris Rippy, Jamie Eason, Jeff Kent, Chuck
Capes, and Jimmy Eason.
Mr. Eason was born April 20, 1931 in Coweta County, son of
the late Carl Monroe EasGn and the late Sallie Strickland Eason.
He was an Army veteran of tile l<.l Caa War, had

Rodney D. Wood, 61, of Franklia, died Jime 15 at llos
