PAGE 10-A HOGANSVILI_ HOME NEWS - THURSDAY, JULY 10, 2{i)03 Kids Fishing Rodeo Saturday" In Conjunction with Cabela's King Kat Tournament Trail to be held on West Point Lake, July 12th at Highland Marina, Cabela's & the LaGrange Troup County Chamber of Commerce will )resent a Kids Fishing Rodeo. The Event is free of charge and open to youths up to 12 years of age. Sign up is from 8:00 A.M. until 9:00 A.M. All kids will receive a prize just for entering. Bring your favorite rod, reel and bait and show your true fishing ability. All children must be accompanied by parent or guardian. Prizes for winners will be given in two age groups up to age 7 and 8-12 HONORED - Dr. Tom Hopkins was the recipient of the James T. Evans Community Service Award presented at the Rotary Club's Annual banquet. The award was given by the Rotary Club for the service he has pro- vided to the young people of Meriwether'County. Picnic was held at the home of Huell and Marguerite Stephens. The Betty Carpenter Circle met at the church July 7. Rev. Harold Willis com- pleted the Baptist Doctrine Study on Prayer at the July 9 Wednesday and Sunday nights at the church. It is being taught by Beth Maxwell. We will have the Observance of The Lord's Supper July 13 at 11:00 a.m. Life Line Screening will be on Tuesday, July 22 at our church. Pre registration is required by calling 1-800-407- 4557. Our Pastor, Rev. Harold Willis will be leading Revival Services August 4-6 at 7 p.m. Nightly at the Bethel Baptist Church in Meriwether County. Bill McKenzie will lead the music. Dr. Billy Burks is Pastor of the church. Dr. Keith Fordham of Fayetteville will be the Evangelist for our Revival August 17-20. Sunday will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday - Wednesday nights will begin at 7 p.m. The theme is "The Offer Still Stands". The banners for our church have been funded and ordered. Hopefully, they will arrive around the end of this month. The Western Baptist Association Disaster Relief Ministry is led by Mitch Montgomery.
