FAMILIAR - Visitors
to FDR's Little White
House Historic Site
were treated on July
4th to a special per-
formance by Dr. Tom
Wentland who
appeared as Ben
Franklin. He is pic-
tured above display-
ing the Betsy Ross
flag, made by Ross
at the suggestion of
General George
Washington. Around
200 guests attended
the program.
Wentland is a regu-
lar program partici-
pant at the site where
he portrays FDR a
dozen or more times
a year. Those who
are familiar with his
FDR character were
delighted with the
diversity of his acting
ability.
BELOVED- A farewell party was held recently for Father Larry Niese who will be mov-
ing to Athens where he will be pastor at St. Joseph Church. Father Niese has been pas-
tor at St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Warm Spnngs and St. Peter's Church in LaGrange.
Pictured above are some of the congregation with Father Niese following his last Mass
at St. Elizabeth on July 7. Father Balappa Selvaraj will be pastor for Warm Spnngs and
LaGrange beginning July 14.

A candle's purpose is missed unless burned.
But candles should burn at one end only. In their
ministries, many people long to "burnout" for
Cod. 7here's a difference between "burnout" and
"burr)ing out" for Cod. Burnout stems from
wastefully burning the candle of ouor lives at
both ends.hardly wise for candles or Christians.
Burning out for Cod means our lives are spent
wisely in His service. Once used up for Cod,
we'll be raised up for heavenly .service..
7he importance is not how much we do for Cod,
but how much God does through us.
