Accomplishments included 2000+ acres of burning assistance, led the region in fire- breaks, construction of a display used in Georgia Welcome Centers, assistance with out of state wildfires, and many other achievements.. The plates 'ill be sold by lickets only. Wayne Cammons August 26, 1920 - July 17, 2001 OLANTHE, KANSAS - Glover W. (Wayne) Cammons, 80, of Olanthe, Kansas and a native of Roopville, died July 17 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas. The funeral service was conducted July 22 in the Chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Alan Mathura officiated and interment was in the Grantville Cemetery, with full military honors. Mr. Cammons was born August 26, 1920 in RoopviUe, son of the late Howard and Lucile Wynens Cammons. A veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, he retired from the U.S. Army after twenty years of service and had lived in Olanthe for the past ten years. Survivors include three sons, Col. David Cammons of Enola, Pennsylvania, Mike Cammons of Modesto, California, and Larry Cammons of Plantation, Florida; six sisters, Mrs. Agnes Cosper of Ephesus, Mrs. Clovis McClurg of LaGrange, Mrs. Lorene Howington of Thomaston, Mrs. Ethel Chadwick of Olanthe, Kansas, Mrs. Nellie Butler of Newnan, and Mrs. Mary Hall of Wadley, Alabama; two brothers, James Crawford of Carrollton and Lee Nelson of Covington; six grandcbdren; and five great- grandchildren. The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Gladys C. Cross November 11, 1920 - July 21, 2001 GRANTVII3E - Mrs. (;lad.x s Cole Cross, 80, of Grantvitle, died July 21 at Emory Peachtree Regional ttospital in Newnan. The funeral service was conducted July 23 in the Chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Itogansville. The Reverend Willard Dean and the Reverend Jimmie L. Willis officiated and interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan. Mrs. Cross was born No\\; ember 11, 1920 in Grantville, daughter of the late William Henry Cole and the late Mary Manola Moore Cole. She was a lifelong resident of Coweta County, was retired from Coueta General Hospital, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of (;rantvil!e. She was the wife of the late Charles Cross. James Henry Freeman July 18, 2001 HOGANSVILLE -,lames ttenry Freeman, infant son of Richie and Ten'i Eason Freeman of Hogansville, died Weduesday, ,July 18 at George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital in Valle); Alabama. The funeral service was conducted July 21 at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, with Dr. Jimmy Brown offi- ciating. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include two brothers, Rodney Law and Scotty Law, both of Hogansville; his grandparents, Jimmy and Henrietta Fh'eeman of Hogansle and H.D. and Jewell Eason of LaGrange; and his great-grandmother, Mrs. Essie Finch of Hogansle. Mrs. Dianne E Hebert October 27, 1960- July 23, 2001 HOGANSVILLE - Mrs. Dianne Fullam Hebert, 40, of Hogansville, died July 23 at her home. The funeral service was conduct- ed July 25 in the Chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Randy Dunlap officiated and interment was in the Myrtle Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Hebert was born October 27, 1960 in Mooresville, North Carolina, daughter of the late Roy Junior and Elizabeth Batchelor Fullam. She had lived in Troup County for the last eight months, and was employed by S.O.S. Cleaners in LaGrange. Survivors include her husband, Donny Hebert of Hogansville; a son, Luke Cloud of Birmingham, Alabama; three sisters, Rebecca Watson of Moreland, Tracy Smith of Senoia, and Tina Smith of LaGrange.
