RDC to Meet on Board Vacancy On August 26, the nominat- ing committee of the Chattahoochee-Flint Regional Development Center will meet at 5 p.m. concerning a board seat vacancy. The Personnel Finance Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. concerning an affirmative action recruitment plan. And CFRDC Board of Directors will meet for their regularly sched- uled Board of Directors meet- ing at 6:30 p.m. at the RDC. The agenda will include reg- ular business items. Flint River Reunion sei Flint River Academy class of 1984 is having their 15-year reunion on Saturday, August 21 at the Chamber Commerce Community Building in Warm Springs. Free Blood Pressure Checks Upson Regional Medical Center will be taking FREE blood pressures at the Lewis Jones Food Market in Manchester, Friday, August 20 from 9:30 a.m. to noon and from 1-4:30 p.m. This monthly serv- ice is provided through the hos- puital's EduCare Outreach Program as a means of pro- moting wellness and communi- ty health education. Self Help C/asses Planned Coleman Community Health Center in LaGrange will be offering a series of special self help classes beginning September 14 that are specifi- cally designed to help people with arthritis. The programs will be led by an Arthritis Foundation-certified instruc- tor. The classes will get under- way on September 14 at 4 p.m., and will meet every Tuesday for six weeks from 4-6 p.m. The cost of the six-week program is $20. Kierbow Family Reunion The Kierbow family reunion is planned for Sunday, August 22 at the Community Center in Manchester from 10-3. Everyone is asked to bring "Associate Table Top Night" when the Home Builders Association of Midwest Georgia has its August meeting. The gathering will be held at WhiteWater Country Club. Registration and viewing of dis- plays will begin at 6:30 p.m., fol- lowed by an informal program. Builder members will be eligi- ble to win many valuable door prizes. Also at the meeting, the asso- ciation's 1999-2000 officers will be elected.
