GOOD SOUNDS- The happy sixties of Highland Baptist Church held its regular monthly
meeting on thrusday, August 18 in the fellowship hall. Guests were members of the Social
Critters from Antioch Baptist Church. Also, the Gospel Messengers of LaGrange enter-
tained the group with several gospel songs. Pictured above from left to right are JoAnn
Earls, Frank Whitley, Ricky Cooper and Kerry King. Misty Anderson sang several songs.

GRANDPARENTS VISI:I" Last Monday the
Hogansville Elementary School honored the grandpar-
ents of the students by inviting them to have lunch with
their grandchildren. The turnout was super and the
grandparents said they enjoyed a delicious lunch with
the children.
JOHN DOYLE, a senior at
Callaway High School, has
been selected as a National
Merit Scholar semi-finalist.
John will have an opportu-
nity to compete for a Merit
Scholarship award that will
be offered in the spring.
John is a member of
Callaway's cross-country
and track and field teams,
the academic bowl team,
KEY club, and he is a past
member of the Math team.

nity wide healing service
Sunday evening, September
28 at 5 p.m.
The service will be led by
the Rev. Canon Mark Pearson
of New Hampshire, who
serves as the Canon
Missioner of the Northeast
Diocese of the Charismatic
Episcopal Church.
Pearson graduated Phi
Kappa from Williams
College.
He received a master of
arts in theology from Oxford
University and his doctor of
ministry degree from Boston
University.
St. Matthews is located at
210 East Main Street.
The service is open to the
public at no charge.
