Ollie Mac Smith Strickland December 10, 1936 - October 17, 2004 Lifelong Resident of Area Ollie Mae Smith Strickland, 67, of the Lone Oak commu- of Meriwether County, died Sunday, October 17, at Hospital. The funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Oct. 20, in the chapel of the Claude A. McKibben Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Rev.James Calhoun and interment was in the Possum Trot Cemetery the Primrose community. Mrs. was born December 10, 1936, in daughter of the late Leonard and Lillian Smith. She was a homemaker and a lifelong resi- of Meriwether County. Survivors include her husband, Oliver Strickland of Lone three daughters and sons-in-law, Lillian and Roy Drake, Ronnie Bruce, all of Hogansville, and Judy Wiley Wade of Moreland; one son, Tim Moore of Lone one brother, William and Diane Smith of Stockbridge; Elizabeth Shelnutt of Stockbridge, and Pearl and , Robertson of Sharpsburg; 13 grandchildren and 13 great- The Claude A. Jesse Crawford Sims November29, 1920- October 13, 2004 Active in Antioch Baptist Church of Hogansville Reverend Jesse Crawford Sims, 83, of Hogansville, died Oct. 13, at his home. Funeral services were held t 2 p m., Sunday, Oct. 17, at Faith Baptist Church in LaGrange. Rev. Brandon Brooks, and Rev. Mark officiated and interment was in Myrtle Hill Pallbearers were Ed Hams, Jim Littlefield, David Curtis, Humphries, Scott Sikes, and Paul Hutchens. Born November 29, 1920, in Chambers County, AL, Rev. was the son of the late John Ellis Sims and the late zeteran of World War Two, he lived as eXecu- director. At Antioch Baptist Church in Hogansville, he as a Sunday School teacher, as chairman of the Board Grantville PTO Yard Sale Scheduled for This Saturday The Grantville Elementary School Parent- Teacher Organization (PTO) has announced that the yard sale originally planned for October 2 has been re-sched- uled for this Saturday, October 23. It will be held at the school and will last from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., You can rent a 10, x 10, booth for $15 (and then keep whatever money you take in) or you can donate your items to the PTO. All money taken in by the PTO from the sale of these of Deacons, and was ordained as a minister. Rev. Sims pas- tared HarrisonviUe Baptist Church, Corinth Baptist Church, and Raymond Baptist Church, and served as pastor to shut- ins at Faith Baptist Church in I~Grange. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Colleen Green Sims of Hogansville; one daughter, Beverly Faith Stockton and her husband, William Granville Stockton, of Moody, AL; one son, Dennis Crawford Sims and his wife, Brenda Huckeba Sims, of Hogansville; two sisters, Mozelle Bryan of Stafford, TX and June lamb of Jacksonville, TX; three grandchildren, Michelle Sims Morris and her husband, Gregory Channing Morris, of I~Grange, Christopher Shane Sims and his wife, Susan Capes Sims, of Newnan, and Jessica Christine Stockton of San Francisco, CA; and two great-grandchildren, Trevor Crawford Morris and Gunnar Christian Morris, of LaGrange. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cathy Stockton Shields; sisters, Alice Mac Bond and Violet Pearl Begley; and brothers, John Ellis Sims, ,Jr., Grover Trent Sims, Andrew leo Sims. Ann Morgan Pombrio January 28, 1922 - October 13, 2004 Member of the Baptist Church Ann Morgan Pombrio, 82, of the Harrisonville Community of Troup County and Niantic, Connecticut, died Wednesday, , Oct. 13, at Hospice LaGrange. The funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 15, at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville with Dr. Jasper N. KeitiL Jr. offici- ating. Born January 28, 1922, in Troup County, Mrs. Pombrio was the daughter of the late W"flliam Dixon Morgan and the late Anna Notes Morgan. She was a member of the Baptist church and maintained homes in Harrisonville and Niantic for many years. Survivors include her husband, Robert Pombrio of Harrisonville and Niantic; three sisters, Jackie Ward of LaGrange, Catherine Burgess of Coh~mbus~ ,and Nell The Claude A.
