Duncan November 14, 1914 - October 19, 2000 (Bud) Duncan, 85, of Hogansville, died Thursday, 19, 2000 at his home. funeral service was conducted at three p.m., Saturday, 21, in the Chapel of the Claude A. Firemen Jeff Woody and Chance Williams presented a detailed learning program for the children and staff, despite the chilly weather. Rehab Center Plans Run/Walk The Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute for Rehabilitation will host the first annual Roosevelt Run/Walk for Rehabilitation on Saturday, Nov. 18 at its 900-plus acre campus just 70 miles southwest of Atlanta off Interstate 85. Included will be a 5K run/walk and wheelchair event, and a one-mile walk/run. The 5K will start at 3 p.m. and the mile walk/run at 3:45. Both events will begin at RWSIR's Center for Therapeutic Recreation. The 5K entry fee will be $15 if received by Nov. 1 or $18 the day of the run. The one-mile fee will be $10 on or before Nov. 1 and $15 the day of the walk. All proceeds go to the RWSIR's Resident Benefit Fund. All pro-registered run- ners and walkers are guaran- teed a logo T-shirt with T-shirts also available on race day as long as they last. Awards in the 5K will include 1st Male & Female Overall, Master's Male and Female Overall, 1st Open Men's and Women's and Quad Wheelchair, 1st Overall Roosevelt Male and Female Employees and awards will also go three deep in five-year age increments. In the one-mile, awards will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Wheelchair, Male and Female and Overall Male and Female 14 and under. Lots of door prizes will also be pre- sented at the awards ceremony immediately after the event. The Roosevelt Institute is located on ttighway 27A just north of the village of Warm Springs at the base of Pine Mountain.
