Jacob Reese Adamson, 20-day-old son of
Joel and Valarie Brownlow Adamson of
Hogansville, died October 26 at Columbus
Regional Medical Center. The funeral serv-
ice was conducted October 29 at the grave-
side m Myrtle Hill Cemetery m Hogansville.
The Reverend Archie Norman officiated.
Jacob was born October 6 m Columbus.
Survivors, m addition to his parents,
include one brother, Justin R. Adamson of
Hogansxdlle; one sister, Courtney E. Adamson
of McDonough; his paternal grandmother,
Mrs. Jewell Adamson of Morrow; and his
maternal grandmother, Mrs. Valerie H.
Brownlow of Hogansville.

Funeral Home of Hogansville was in charge
of arrangements.
Mrs. Jeanette W. Eason
June 7, 1927 - October 28, 2001
Mrs. Jeanette Wallace Eason, 74, of
Hogansville, died October 28 at Atlanta
Medical Center. The funeral service was con-
ducted October 31 m the Chapel of the Claude
A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in
Hogansville. The Reverend Gary Brown and
the Reverend Ran Westbury officiated and
interment was in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in
Hogansville.
Mrs. Eason was born June 7, 1927 in
Carroll County, daughter of the late Michael
and Clara York Wallace. She had lived in
Hogansville since 1946, was a member of the
Hogansville Church of God, and was retired
from Mansour's Department Store in
LaGrange after 21 years of sendce.
Survivors include her husband, James E.
Eason of Hogansville; one daughter and son-
n-law, Pat and Jerry Hogan, also of
Hogansville; one son and daughter-n-law,
James R. and Marilyn Eason of Suwanee; four
sisters, Mrs. Nadine Henry and Mrs. Phoebe
Smith, both of Whitesburg, Mrs. Linda
Williams of Anniston, Alabama and Mrs. Ruth
Mannis of Stephensville, Texas; two broth-
ers, Billy VCallace of Franklin and the
Reverend Gary Brown of Whitesburg; one
granddaughter, Mrs. Amber Gilpatrick
Sugar Hill; and one great-grandson,
Gilpatrick. She was preceded in death by
daughter, Mrs. Katherine Yates, a sister,
Louise Shuler, and a brother, Michael Walla.

Mar.ch 15, 1923 - October 28, 2001
J.T. Gordy, 78, of Hogansville, died
October 28 at Newnan Hospital. The funeral
service was conducted October 30 in the
Chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons
Funeral Home in Hogansville. Dr. Jimmy
Brown officiated and interment was m Myrtle
Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
Pallbearers were Layton Gordy, Ford
McLain, Ian Anderson, Matt
Leighton Anderson, and Jason McIn.
Mr. Gordy was born March 15, 1923 i
LaGrange, son of the late James Estes GordY
and the late Florence Humphrey GordY.
Before making his home in Hogansville i
1988, he was a longtime resident of College
Park and was a retired lieutenant from the
East Point Police Department. He was a U.S.
NaxT veteran of World War II and was a merl-
ber of the Hogansville Masonic Lodge
the Hogansville Senior Center. Mr. Gord
a member of Highland Baptist Church
Hogansville and the Troup County Retired
Peace Officers Association.
Sum,ivors include his wife, Mrs. Dura Nell
Hill Gordy of Hogansville; three daughterS
and two sons-m-law, Kaye and Layton GordY
and Deborah and Ford McLain all of
LaGrange, and Pam Gamber of
City; one brother and sister-in-law,
Barbara Webb of Sylacauga, Alabama;
grandchildren, Ian and Misty
Leighton Anderson, and Brett McImm, all
LaGrange, Matt and Jenni Anderson
Evansville, Indiana, and Jason McLain
Kennesaw; four great-grandchildren
Anderson, Ryan Anderson,
Anderson, and Guiliana Davis; and several
nieces and nephews.
