Harold Willis, who was celebrating his fourth anniversary as our pastor Sunday preached from Matthew 3:1-12 "Getting Ready for Christmas". He celebrates his 49th year in the ministry Christmas. That night we had the annual Greening of the Churchserv- ice. The adult choir Christmas Cantata, "His Very Own Star" will be presented Dec. 21 at the 11 a.m. serv- ice. ,ll A00,dult Choir Enjoys Party TWOI -Mr. and Mrs. Darryl Neese honored theirsonJoseph for his 2nd birth- day Saturday, Dec. 6 at their home. Many friends and rel- atives joined with Joseph to help them cele- brate. HON- ORED- On Wednesda y, Dec. 3, the Bingo Buddies of Hogansvill e honored F a y e Whittingto n for her birthday. We will have a baby ded- ication for Rev. Willis' new granddaughter on Dec. 28 at 11 a.m. There will be no evening services Dec. 21, 24 and 28. Our church is having a Watchnight Service at 7 p.m. on Dec. 31. A churchwide social is planned (finger foods) at 8 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. The church is beautifully decorated for Christmas, including poinsettias that were placed in the sanctuary in memory or in honor of.
