Ronnie D. Kent
February 2, 1951 - December 9, 1999
Ronnie D. Kent, 48, of LaGrange, died Thursday, December
9, at his home. The funeral service was conducted Saturday,
December 11 in the Chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons
Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend S.W. Osborn offici-
ated and interment was in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
Pallbearers were Danny Chatman, Johnny Mann, Mark Bonner,
Gene Thomas, Sandy Hall, Mike Hilley, and Michael McCormick.
Mr. Kent was born February 2, 1951 and was a resident of
Troup County most of his life. He was a member of the Holiness
church and was employed by Daniel Lumber Company in
LaGrange. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Hixie
Searels.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Betty Kent of LaGrange; one
daughter, Miss Daisy Kent of Pine Mountain; one son, Ronald
Dean Kent, Jr. of Pennsylvania; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Linda
Hall and Mrs. Teresa Bonner, both of LaGrange; two stepsons,
Danny Chatman of Franklin and Johnny Mann of LaGrange; his
father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Kent of LaGrange; his
stepfather, Clarence Searels of Hogansville; four sisters, Mrs.
Margie McDowell and Miss Sheila Kent of LaGrange, Mrs. Brenda
Autrey and Mrs. Toni Hilley of Hogansville; five brothers, James
David Kent and Jerry Kent of Columbus, Danny Searels of
Hogansville, Mickey Searels of DeRidder, Louisiana, and Jimmy
Kent of Stone Mountain; eight grandchildren; and one great-grand-
child•
The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of
Hogansville was in charge of arrangements.
Randy Huekabee
June 8, 1953 - December 11, 1999
Mr. Randy Huckabee, 46, of Hogansville, died Saturday,
December 11, 1999, at Hospice LaGrange.
The funeral service was conducted at two p.m., Tuesday,
December 14, in the Chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons
Funeral Home in Hogansville. Dr. Jimmy Brown and the Reverend
Shane Lipp officiated and interment was in Myrtle Hill Cemetery
in Hogansville.
Pallbearers were Ralphy Luttrell, Paul Newkirk, Tom Spradlin,
Michael Hughes, Wade Wright, Tim Smith, and Randall Allen.
Mr. Huckabee was born June 8, 1953, in Hogansville. He lived
in the Atlanta area for a number of years before returning to
Hogansville in 1991, was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church,

Huckabee was a musician and was a former member of the Possum
Trot Band in Atlanta.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruth Huckabee of Hogansville;
his mother, Mrs. Jane Huckabee, also of Hogansville; two sisters
and brothers -in-law, Anne and Tim Smith of Grantville and Jennie
and Iris Huckabee of Eastman; two cousins, Mrs. Becky Jane Hill
and Mrs. Elaine Daniel, both of Roanoke, Alabama; and several
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, the
Reverend Joe Huckabee.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Randy
Huckabee Memorial Fund, in care of The Citizens Bank in
Hogansville.
The Claude A. McKibben and Sons funeral Home of Hogansville
was in charge of arrangements.
Mae Kee Thompson
April 13, 1908 - December 12, 1999
Mrs. Mae Kee Thompson, 90, of Moreland, died Sunday,
December 12, 1999, at Emory Peachtree Regional Hospital in
Newnan.
The funeral service was conducted at four p.m., Tuesday,
December 14, in the Chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons
Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jerry Eley officiat-
ed in interment was in Southview Cemetery at Moreland•
Pallbearers were Adam Brooks, Chris Brooks, Timothy
Crawford, Douglas Thompson, Randy Thompson, and Aaron
Thompson•
Mrs. Thompson was born April 13, 1909, in Coweta County,
daughter of the late Ruben and Dora Gaddy Kee. A lifelong resi-
dent of Coweta county, she was a member of the First Baptist
Church of Moreland, was retired from Grantville Mills, and was
the wife of the late Lee O. Thompson.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Helen Thompzon, of
Fairburn; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Betty Cooper of Moreland; five
grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and twelve great-
great-grandchildren.

Hogansville was in charge of arrangements.

Wednesday, December 8, 1999, at Starcrest Convalescent Center
in Newnan.
A memorial service was conducted at two p.m•, Friday,
December 10, at Faith Baptist Church in Moreland. Dr. Mark
Spence and the Reverend Timothy Baumgarten officiated.
Mrs. Attenborough was born May 8, 1914, in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Michael John Russman and
the late Amelia Nagel Russman. Before making her home at
Grantville three years ago, she lived in Pittsburgh most of her
life and was retired from Keystone Plumbing Company. She attend-
ed Faith Baptist Church at Moreland and was the wife of the late
Arthur Attenborough.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Patricia Baumgarten of
Grantville; one son, Thomas Attenborough, also of Grantville; six
grandchildren; and seven-great-grandchildren.
Contributions in memory of Mrs. Attenborough may be made
to the Building Fund of Faith Baptist Church at Moreland.

Hogansvflle was in charge of arrangements.
Claude Reynolds
January 20, 1929 - December 4, 1999
Claude Reynolds, 70, died December 4 at Georgia Baptist
Meriwether Hospital in Warm Springs. Funeral services were
held December 11 at Calvary Baptist Church in Manchester with
Elder Clarence Hardin officiating. Interment was at New Hope
Baptist Cemetery in Manchester•
Mr. Reynolds was born January 20, 1929 in Manchester to the
late Alfred (Son) and Rochelle Reynolds• At an early age he attend-
ed Calvary Baptist Church with his mother. After graduation from
high school Claude moved to Cleveland, Ohio and from there on
to River Rouge, Michigan where he worked and retired from Ford
Motor Company with thirty-four and a half years of service• He
served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
For over fifteen years, Mr. Reynolds coached with the West
Side Cubs Little League football team in Detroit, Michigan, encour-
aging many young people and helping them stay off the streets.
He also helped sponsor high school students from across the coun-
try in Sharon, Pennsylvania in being recruited for pro basketball.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sandra Reynolds, two sons,
Claude Reynolds, II and Samuel Reynolds, both of LaGrange; one
aunt, Irene Hardnett of Woodland; one brother, Frank Watson of
Manchester and a host of other relatives and friends. A brother,
Richard Leroy Hill, preceded him in death.

in charge of arrangements.
