Two Hurt
In Wreck
On Ware

A two-vehicle accident
that occurred on Friday,
Decemler 14, on Ware Street
at the intersection of Brooks
Road, sent two people to the
hospital.
Reports state that Gary
Wayne Whitt, Jr. of Old
Hammett Road, LaGrange,
driving a 1990 BuickRegal,
slammed into the rear of
Imrry Donnell Cotton, Jr. of
HogansviUe.
Passengers in the Cotton
vehicle said the driver of the
other car exited the car and
Fan.
Reports state the vehi-
cles left no skid marks and
only slight damage to the
Cotton vehicle, a 1984
Chevrolet Monte Carlo.
The two passengers in
the Cotton vehicle were
taken to the West Georgia
Medical Center in LaGrange
by the AMR after compalin-
ing of back and neck injuries.
Officer T.J. Wehner of
the HPD reported that upon
arrival, the Whitt car was
abandoned, still running and
still in drive on a known drug
infested area.
Citations were given to
Whitt for following to close
and leaving the scene of an
accident.
On December 9, a two
vehicle accident happened
on the ramp at 1-85 off of Hwy
54 as construction continues
at the location.
Gloria Nell Frazier of
Hogansville was following
Karen Dynece Lawson of
Columbus.
Reports state that
Frazier stopped because she
could not enter onto 1-85 and
was struck from behind.
No injuries occured but
extensive damage was
caused to both vehicles•
No citations were issued.
Billy Purgason of
LaGrange reported to police
Lha[ someone hit s vehicle
with some kind of object
while he was at work at Bo-
Tex.
About $200 of damage
Was caused on the trunk of
his red Cadillac.
