The funeral service was held Sunday, Dec. in the Chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral in Hogansville. Brother Glenn Miller officiated and ierment followed in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in z Mount. Pallbearers were a imm y Rowe, Doug Rowe, aoey Murphy, Bryant, Arnold Murphy and Larry Murphy. Mrs. Murphy was born May 23, 1932 in Meriwether runty, daughter of the late O. Durward and Annie Caldwell A resident of Meriwether County most of her life, she .'d from Gresham Printing Company and Troup Business rams and was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's in Manchester. She was the wife of the late James Iward Murphy. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Spencer d Stephenie Murphy of Luthersville and Tim and Janet )hy of Valley, AL; four sisters, Carol HeRon of Clayton, m Byrd of Cisco, June Layton of Flagler Beach, FL and Murrav of Georgetown; two brothers, Jimmy Rowe Buena Vista and Doug Rowe of Newnan; five grandchil- and four great-grandchildren. The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in )gansville was in charge of arrangements. Ford Hogan October 22, 1917 - December 20, 2003 Retired from Milliken and Co. Ford Hogan, 86, of Hogansville, died Saturday, Dec. 20 West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange. The funeral held Monday, Dec. 22 in the Chapel of the Claude McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Rev. N. Osborn officiated; interment was in Myrtle Hill Mr. Hogan was born October 22, 1917 in Heard County, the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ford Hogan. He had lived Hogansville since 1966, was retired from Hillside Division 'Milliken and Company and attended Faith Harbor Apostolic LaGrange. Survivors include his wife, Eva Brazell Hogan; two sons lda danghter-in-law, Jerry Hogan and L.T. and June Hogan, of Hogansville; four grandchildren, Kaye Morris, Gayla men, Michelle Nelson and Michael Hogan; and two great lchildren, Dustin Morris and Danielle Nelson. He was in death by a son, Earl Hogan. The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of ;ansville was in charge of arrangements. SPREADING THE WORD- Roy. Bruce Gossett of Peachtree City recently served as guest preacher at St. Matthew's Charismatic Episcopal Church in Hugansville. Gossett has been in the ministry for over 22 years and has served churches in the South Metro Atlanta area and, most recently, in Holland. St. Matthew's is 1 1/2 years old and is served by Rev. Ron Clemmer, Vicar. The church meets in down- town Hogansville. Donations, Volunteers Needed For Annual Christmas Dinner Donations are urger/tly needed for the 13th Annual Christmas dinner at Cannon Street Elementary School in LaGrange, sponsored by Troup County Community, with"Up All Night" with Jake Sessions, a gospel show on TV-33. Rick Gooden, one of the organizers, said there is only enough food to prepare about 100 meals, but an estimated 1,500 meals will be needed. We include LaGrange, Hogansville and West Point for Christmas. Meals will be delivered to home-bound peo- ple. Items needed are hams, turkeys, drinks, water, canned vegetables, cranber- ry sauce, carryout plates, cups, napkins, cakes and pies.
