Retirement Party

Three of tiogansville's
longest -working city
employees were given an
official retirement part?"
luncheon last Wednesday
held at the 1910 ttouse in
downtown Hogansvilte.
More than 20 friends and
city leaders attended the gala
occasion.

Robert "Skeet" Kent, I.D.
Mitchell and W.T. Cameron,
all whom worked for the
city's public works depart-
ment, each received a cere-
monial plaque.
"Whenyou lose that much
knowledge and years, it's
going to affect you," Mayor
Wilson St. Clair said.
St Clair said these three
trained those who were goin g
to take their places.
Their jobs were to fix bro-
ken lines, catch stray dogs,
rescue cats from trees, city
and cemetery cleanup.
Mitchell worked for the
city from September 1988
until September 2000;
Cameron from April 1981
until August 2000 and Kent,
officially, went to work for
the city in 1976 but has helped
the citT since the early 1960's.
