Johnson, 79, of Hogansville, lied December 19 at West Georgia Medical Center in aGrange. The funeral service was conducted )ecember 21 in the Chapel of the Claude A. McKibben Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Hodge officiated and interment was in Myrtle Cemetery in Hogansville. Pallbearers were Matt Bill Johnson, Joel Talley, Mark Talley, Joe Jon Edwards, and Chris Sustar. Mr. Johnson was born December 19, 1921 in Gay, of the late William Lee Johnson and the late Ada gley Johnson. He was a U.S. Navy veteran World War II and had lived in Hogansville since He was a member of the Hogansville Church of and was retired from the Hogansville Housing include his wife, Mrs. Frances Gray of Hogansville; two daughters and sons-in- Rachel and Jim Talley of Dalton and Rita and Howard of Pine Mountain; one son and daugh- Dennis and Sue Johnson of Hogansville; two and brothers-in-law, Tavie and Johnnie Nunis and Patsy and Curtis Wilkes of Nashville, four brothers and sisters-in-law, Doug and ldine Johnson of Austell, Jimmy and Carolyn and Doyle Johnson, of LaGrange, and Garin Joyce Johnson of Stephenson, Alabama; eight and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Sarah Copeland December 9, 1913 - December 26, 2000 Carrollton - Mrs. Sarah Truitt Copeland, 87, of a former resident of Hogansville, died 26 at Fayette Community Hospital in The funeral service will be conducted at t p.m., Thursday, December 28 in the Chapel of the A. Mrs. Rub3' Horne April 24, 1914 -, et :,,mber, 3, 2000 Hogansville - Mrs. Ruby Thompson Horne, 86, of Hogansville, died December 23 at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange. The funeral service was conducted December 27 in the Chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Charles Chapman and the Reverend Randall Hodge officiated and interment was in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville. Pallbearers were Stanley Shaw, Alan Shaw, Steve Shaw, Keith Horne, Jason Home, and Harold Tillman. Mrs. Home was born April 24,1914 inDodge County, daughter of the late Willie and Aurelia Bryant Thompson. She had lived in Hogansville for 54 years and was retired from Uniroyal, Inc. She was a mem- ber of the Hogansville Church of God and was a for- mer church pianist. Survivors include her husband, Ira V. Horne; two daughters and sons-in law, Billie and Billy Shaw of LaGrange and Barbara and Danny Goolsby of Warner Robins; one son and daughter-in-law, Wendell and Karen Home of St. Augustine, Florida; a stepdaughter, Doris Daniel of Warner Robins; one brother, J.R Thompson of Florida; nine grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. M'’rtice Wright September 28, 1  1! - J ecemb,,r 24, 2000 Hogansville - Mrs. Myrtice Taylor Wright, 81, of Hogansville, died December 24 at Rockdale County Hospital in Conyers. The funeral service was conduct- ed December 26 at Welcome All Baptist Church in Hogansville. The Reverend Tommy McLeroy and the Reverend Paul Stitcher officiated and interment was in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville. Grandsons served as pallbearers. Mrs. Wright was born September 28, 1919 in Crisp County, daughter of the late John and Lillie Wright Taylor. She had lived in Hogansville since 1935 and was a member of Welcome All Baptist Church. She retired from Uniroyal, Inc. after 43 years of service and was the wife of the late Vester Wright. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Annette Boyd of LaGrnge; two sons, Ronnie Wright of Conyers and Danny Wright of Newnan; two sisters, Mrs. Lois Breed and Mrs. Thelma Sparks, both of Valley, Alabama; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great- great-grandson. The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville was in charge of arrangements. James W. Gamble October 20, 1951 - December 24, 2000 Hogansville - James W. (Jimmy) Gamble, 49, of Hogansville, died December 24 at Community Memorial Hospital in South Hill, Virginia. The funer- al service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 28 in the Chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Willie L. Spradlin will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville. Pallbearers will be Dwight Todd, Tony Shirey, Charles Gamble, David Gamble, Bobby Gamble, Mark Sharpies, and Daryl Cleveland. Mr. Gamble was born October 20, 1951 in Hogansville, son of Mrs. Irma Spradlin Gamble of Hogansville and the .late Billy E. Gamble. He was a member of the Baptist faith and was employed as a carpenter. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include three brothers, David Gamble, Charles Gamble and Bobby Gamble, all of Hogansville; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The Claude A. Key, 71, of Grantville, died December 21 at his home. The funeral service was conducted December 23 in the Chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Herschel Phillips officiated and inter- ment was in the Grantville Cemetery. Members of Midland Masonic Lodge of Columbus served as pall- bearers and provided Masonic graves|de rites. Mr. Key was born June 15,1929 in Randolph County, Alabama, son of the late Irving and Zady Lipham Key. A former resident of Columbus and Atlanta, he had lived in Grantville since 1977. He was a member of Midland Masonic Lodge in Columbus and was a retired commercial and industrial painting contractor. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elaine Key of Grantville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jeffery Key of Grantville and Irving and Melissa Key of Newnan; one daughter, Ms. Gwenn Sinns of Newnan; a godson, Alan English of Caryville, Florida; and four grandchildren.
